Where do designers find inspiration when travelling? How do they travel in search of ideas? Above all – how do they use their experiences? EIGA provides answer to these questions in its 2009 desk diary “DesignerReisen” (DesignerTravels).
In this and its two predecessors, EIGA has, over the last 3 years, published the work of over 350 participating designers. Following the self-portraits in “DesignerKöpfe” (DesignerHeads) and unpublished favourites in “DesignerSchätze” (DesignerTreasures), the inspiration which comes from travel is the theme of this sophisticated desk diary. The diary won the coveted award for “Typographic Excellence” from the Type Directors Club New York for the overall concept and the unusual, individual typography.
